Countdown to the next camp
About Bobbi’s Horse Camps
Classes at Bobbi’s Horse Camp Academies are taught by professional trainers with years of experience. As a student at the camp, you will be placed into an appropriate group, advanced, intermediate, novice, or beginner, depending on your experience, confidence and ability. You will be taught on your own horse, usually training for 2 sessions a day split across morning and afternoon. You will work in small groups and, if you wish, our photographer can take some souvenir pictures of you.
Teaching takes place in world-class indoor and outdoor ménages, with the opportunity to challenge oneself on the 80-acre cross-country course. This includes obstacles such as brooks, ditches and water complexes. If a rider is unsure about completing a task, there is absolutely no pressure to do so. You will work at your own pace.
Safety is a very important aspect at our camps. Riders must come fully equipped with protective clothing and helmets including body protectors for the cross country course. Our trainers will constantly monitor you and your horse, ensuring that neither horse nor rider pushes themselves too far.
We have a varied crowd of all ages (16+) and abilities at Bobbi’s Horse Camp Academies, predominantly however not exclusively female, many of whom travel miles to attend and participate. Stabling is provided for all horses and campers may have the opportunity to bring more than one horse if previously discussed with Bobbi.
THE NOVICE NERVOUS RIDERS SECTION
At some of the camps, we are running a section especially for nervous green riders and horses. This will be where if you are a novice or nervous rider and you want to take things at a slower pace this the section for you.
You will have your hand held and be coached by the same trainer during the course of the camp in all your chosen disciplines. The trainer will guide you through your flat work building your confidence over poles and if wanted then progressing to SJ/ XC thus taking things at a slower pace
